Requirements: VMWare Remote Console

- Linux

 

Linux:

  1. Click on "Virtual Machine" in the upper left corner of the window.

  2. Now select "Removable media", then "CD/DVD drive 1" and then click on "Settings".

  1. On the right-hand side of the menu under "Device status", activate the two options "Connected" and "Connect on power-up".

  2. Under the item "Connection", select the following options:

    1. "Location": Remote Server

    2. "Use remote ISO image:" Enable.

  3. Now click on "Browse..." at "Use remote ISO image:":

  1. Double-click on the folder "[ISO-Share]" in the opened folder browser.

  1. Now select the desired ISO file and confirm the selection with "OK".

  2. Save the changes by clicking on the "Save" button.

 

Windows:

  1. Click on "VMRC ▼" in the upper left corner of the window.

  2. Now in the drop-down menu that opens, first select "Removable media", then "CD/DVD drive 1" and then "Settings".

  2. Now confirm the changes by clicking on the "OK" button.
