set up distributed mailbox (vpf) in Apple Mail

1. Open "Mail" and press the "Command" and "," buttons at the same time to open the preferences.

2. Under "Accounts", tap the "+" icon in the bottom-left corner.

3. Enter the e-mail address of the mailbox you want to link.

   

4. Click "Continue" and select "Other Mail Account" at the bottom. If asked please enter the password of your personal ZIH login.

   

5. Now enter the following information:

   • Email Address: name-des-vpf@msx.tu-dresden.de

   • Username: user\YourZihLogin\name-des-vpf

   • Password: Password for your personal ZIH login

   • Account Type: IMAP

   • Incoming Mail Server: msx.tu-dresden.de

   • Outgoing Mail Server: msx.tu-dresden.de

     

6. Now click "Sign In" and wait until the mailbox is added.
