Sign in to the Datashare website

  1. Open the website datashare.tu-dresden.de in your browser.
  2. If necessary, login via Shibboleth.

Set up Nextcloud apps

To log in to the official Nextcloud apps, please follow the setup instructions.

 

Sign in to third-party applications

If you want to log in to other programs—not the original Nextcloud apps—you will need a separate password. Then use the following   

Create app password

Note: If you are asked for your password during creation, please log out once (“Settings menu” - “Log out”) and log back in by calling up the page again.

    1. Call up the security settings.
        1. To do this, click on your avatar in the top right-hand corner and then on "Settings".
        2. Select the "Security" tab in the sidebar.
    2. In the "App name" input field, enter a name of your choice, such as the name of the application.
    3. Confirm the creation by selecting the "Create new app password" button.
    4. The login data, consisting of the ZIH login and app password, will now be displayed. You can paste it to the clipboard using the copy button. Please note that the password is only displayed once.
    5. Once you have copied it, confirm the process using the "Done" button.
